What to bring to your newborn session in Anderson, Indiana:
Booking a newborn photography session is an exciting step in capturing the fleeting, beautiful moments of your baby’s first days. If you’re a new parent in Madison County, Indiana, you might be wondering: What should I bring to my newborn session? Don’t worry—I’m here to guide you through it! Here is a helpful checklist for your session:
Baby Essentials:
This may seem like a no brainer but when you’re running on little sleep it may slip your mind to grab the diaper bag on your way out.
Extra diapers: Grab some extra diapers and wipes because there is just something about newborn photos that works a big poop out of babies!
A pacifier: Your baby may not be taking one well but bring some along just in case. This helps soothe baby while I move them around for different poses.
Bottles/formula: Your baby is likely going to work up an appetite during their session so it is helpful to feed them a bottle during their session. They may even want a few! If you’re nursing, you’re welcome to nurse during the session as well.
Snacks/Liquids: You may also get hungry or thirsty during the session so consider bringing something along for yourselves, especially if you have children with you.
Something to pass the time: Newborn photos can take up to 3 hours so bring your phone, a book or something else along to keep you occupied. Or feel free to just sit back and watch! If you’re bringing children with you this is especially important because sitting for hours is tough for littles as we already know. You may also consider having someone come and get them, taking them to a park or to get something to eat.
Your newborn session should feel like a peaceful pause in the chaos of new parenthood—a time to slow down and soak in your baby’s tiny features. As your Anderson Indiana newborn photographer, I’m here to help every step of the way!
